Rouen Airport collaborates with Aéro Biodiversité to protect and enhance the site's natural areas. Meadows, groves, and wetlands, often overlooked, constitute veritable reservoirs of biodiversity. Regular monitoring allows for the identification and protection of local flora and fauna through tailored measures.
When nature comes to the airport
At the airport, landing isn't just about airplanes: nature also has its place. In collaboration with Aéro Biodiversité , we monitor and protect the natural areas on our site, which are true reservoirs of biodiversity.

A thriving ecosystem
Since 2022, our commitment has borne fruit: 420 species have been observed , including 80 new species in 2025 , demonstrating the richness and dynamism of our ecosystem. These figures illustrate that airports are not just transport hubs, but also places where nature and infrastructure coexist harmoniously.
A commitment for tomorrow
These initiatives demonstrate that airports can be agents of biodiversity. By protecting our natural spaces, we contribute to species conservation while providing a safe and pleasant environment for our passengers.
